We’ve been grilling burgers since 2016. We were born in the city of Beja and in 2020, we
decided to expand to Évora after falling in love with the city. Our meat is fresh, minced on the day and cooked to order. And the fries? Washed and hand-cut every single morning. The best sauce? Our homemade garlic mayo. With free refills so you can go back as many times as you like whenever you visit us in-store.
Here, every detail has been thought through so you feel at ease and surrounded by those you love the most. So go ahead, enjoy, and take a risk. Don’t live life with a knife and fork. Our menu adapts to several diets. We value sustainability and do our best to work with local suppliers.
This is our DNA, and we won’t give it up. That’s the only way this makes sense to us. To you, thank you. Thank you for the trust over all these years. We’re still in this together.

She arrived in 2023, but it feels like he’s been with us from the start. She won us over so naturally that no one else has, so far. She’s Di to his friends.
She’s in the kitchen and doesn’t want to leave. Luckily for us, she’s great at what she does. Professional and efficient. She’s always keeping an eye on the cleanliness and organization of the countertops, while also frying the most delicious fries in town. Any complaints or compliments you have about him are hers to share.
Speaking of compliments, she’s also the one who keeps the recipe for the famous garlic mayonnaise from the Evora store.
She’ll soon be leaving to dedicate himself to the most wonderful task in life: motherhood. The fourth baby Avenida is named Ana Julia. Another girl to join our family. She’ll be back in 2026 after completing her maternity leave. We already miss her.
It seems like yesterday. She was at the opening of our Évora store when she said to us: “Everything was wonderful. I just wanted to say that I sent in my resume and they didn’t call me.”
The phrase, of course, didn’t go unnoticed. A week later, she was wearing the store uniform. What was supposed to be just a summer job lasted. We managed to balance his studies with his work schedule, and five years later, she’s still here.
In the meantime, she decided that architecture wasn’t really for her. Today, she’s about to finish his degree in archaeology. For now, she’s ours. When she go your own way, she’ll continue to be.
She’s been with us for four years. She joined the Room and has been here ever since.
She’s the one who sometimes greets you and takes your orders. When needed, she lends a hand at the bar or in the kitchen and is the first to step up to cover or help a colleague.
Marina is Marina. And that alone would be enough to define her. However, she’s more. She’s joy, efficiency, and responsibility.
Fun fact: for those who don’t know, Marina loves to sing and has one of the highest notes you’ll ever hear. Some say that, way back when, she even released a CD.
Jéssica (always with an accent) is one of the newest members of our team.
She’s been with us for less than a year and juggles her work at the Bar with her degree in Languages and Literature at the University of Évora.
Her favorite color is black, and you’ll rarely, if ever, see her dressed in color. We worked around the situation, and she wears the green uniform shirt. We won.
She listens well, is committed, and a great communicator. If she needs to jump into the living room or kitchen, she does, and everything goes smoothly.
She loves a good get-together or party with everyone. And we love them too.
Our youngest is João. With a relaxed style, way of living, and working, he brings a sense of ease to his clients that we appreciate.
He does his job well in the dining room, knows how to listen to improve, and is very attentive to clients. He dislikes injustice and doesn’t hide it.
If you “catch” him singing, don’t be surprised. In addition to his good taste in music, he often walks around the room humming. He’s genuinely happy.
A curious fact: On the birthdays of clients who choose us to celebrate their day, João is the first to applaud and celebrate, as if he were one of the guests or one of the birthday boy’s friends. Whether they’re 18 or 80.
That’s very beautiful.
Maressa seems to have been with us since before we even opened. She’s currently in charge of one of the hot plates.
But she’s also worked in the front office, the plating department, and the kitchen. And whenever necessary, she’s popped in to the bar. She’s smiling, sociable (very talkative), and responsible.
She loves to work and isn’t afraid to stand up and get out there. One of her strengths is cleanliness. Whether at her workstation or when she greets you, she pays attention to every detail.
Along with her qualities is her adrenaline, which feels like you’re drinking 20 cups of coffee every day. You have to know how to manage it.
Ultimately, she’s the first person to want to help and cover for her colleague.
Leal, for us, has been with us since he decided to take a break from his studies in 2023.
Probably out of all our colleagues, he feels he has grown the most personally and professionally. He arrived with some doubts and over time gained confidence and security.
For a long time, he was the only man in the kitchen, surrounded by women. He struggled, but eventually earned his place and respect.
He is responsible, very concerned about others, and loves to please. We can even say that he is the romantic one on the team.
He will soon leave us and return to his studies. This makes us happy and proud to have been a part of his life during this time.
We’re not just looking for people. We’re looking for those who are ready to wear the jersey and be part of this slightly dysfunctional family. Calm down — dysfunctional in the best way. Here at Avenida, we don’t take ourselves too seriously and we’ve got thick skin. In hospitality — and in life — that’s important. We train among ourselves, no problem.
More than anything, we’re looking for people with attitude, willingness to be present, and eager to learn. But above all, people with a sense of pride in what they do. That’s the only way we can keep offering quality service and good vibes to every single customer that walks through our doors.
